Colt CZ Group is headquartered in the Czech Republic and employs more than 4,500 people across 13 production facilities in the Czech Republic, the United States, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, and Hungary. 

The Czech Republic is home to three key production sites: Česká zbrojovka in Uherský Brod, a leading European producer of firearms for military and law enforcement as well as the commercial market; Sellier & Bellot, a traditional manufacturer of small-caliber ammunition headquartered in Vlašim; and, as of January 2026, Synthesia Nitrocellulose, one of the largest producers of energetic nitrocellulose in Europe and North America, located in Pardubice. 

The Group also operates swissAA/saltech, a production facility in Däniken, Switzerland, specializing in small caliber ammunition production; Spuhr i Dalby in Löddeköpinge, Sweden, a manufacturer of optical mounting solutions for firearms; and haltech, a swissAA subsidiary based in Balatonfűzfő, Hungary.

Since 2021, Colt CZ Group has also had a strong presence in North America, following the acquisition of Colt, one of the world’s leading designers, developers, and manufacturers of firearms located in West Hartford, Connecticut, and Colt Canada, the Canadian Small Arms Centre of Excellence, headquartered in Kitchener, Ontario. 

The Group’s North American manufacturing footprint further includes CZ-USA, headquartered in Kansas City, Kansas, which serves as the exclusive importer and distributor of CZ-branded firearms in the United States; the premium firearms brand Dan Wesson located in Norwich, New York; Colt Optics, a producer of precision sighting and targeting products from Traverse City, Michigan; and Valley Steel Stamp, a long-standing supplier of firearm components to Colt CZ Group, based in Greenfield, Massachusetts.
