Investment in Arkansas

The Česká zbrojovka Group took another step towards reaching its strategic goal to expand in the United States. The CZ-USA subsidiary and the Arkansas state representatives have agreed on the terms for the building of a brand new manufacturing facility in Little Rock, the capital city of Arkansas. This also means that CZ-USA will be relocating its headquarters there from Kansas.

“We are very pleased that we have managed to enter into an agreement with the state of Arkansas on the building of a new facility for the manufacture and assembly of firearms. The aim of this investment is to build up the CZ brand, increase its share on the US civilian market as well as penetrate its armed forces market which the USA guard well by the so-called “Buy-American Act,” stated Lubomír Kovařík, the President of the Česká zbrojovka Group. “We are honoured to have a world-renowned brand such as CZ call Arkansas home,” said Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson.

CZ-USA have been active on the US market since 1997 as the sole importer of firearms manufactured in Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod. CZ-USA have 120 employees and in addition to import, the company also engages in the production of their own firearms. As well as the Colt 1911 model, produced under the Dan Wesson brand, last year they also began manufacturing the CZ P-10 pistol at their facility in Kansas City, Kansas.

“There is a lot of hard work lying ahead of us,” Lubomír Kovařík added. “In the first phase of the project, we shall create 320 new job positions in Little Rock. Within six years, the factory should be employing 560 personnel and the Group shall invest up to $90 million.”
