CZ supports the Setkání Stretnutie theatre festival
Between the 13th and 18th May 2019, the city of Zlín will be hosting the 24th Czech and Slovak theatre festival, Setkání Stretnutie. The Zlín City Theatre shall welcome theatre companies from both the Czech Republic as well as Slovakia, with Česká zbrojovka a.s. as the general sponsor of the event.
“As one of the most important companies in the Zlín region, CZ offers its support not only to schools and sports events but also to a number of cultural events in the area. We are therefore pleased to once again sponsor the Setkání Stretnutie festival, a theatre event that has over the years become a tradition of this region,” says Ladislav Britaňák, the President and Chairman of the Board of Česká zbrojovka.
This year, visitors will be able to see sixteen different plays which will take place around the city over a period of six days, in the Velký sál (Great Hall), Malá scéna (Little Theatre), Studio Z and other places. Amongst the theatre companies, there will be the Dejvické divadlo and the Divadlo pod Palmovkou from Prague, the Divadlo P. Bezruče from Ostrava and the Slovak National Theatre from Bratislava. In addition, various seminars and lectures will be held, including special meetings with authors, a retrospective exhibition and a “video booth” that will look back over the past years. As well as this, there will also be theatre and music performances in the streets of the city and its surroundings.

Moreover, at the end June and the beginning of July, CZ will again show its support for culture by sponsoring the 54th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
