CZ a supporter of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival
Between 29 June and 7 July, Karlovy Vary is hosting the 53rd International Film Festival, the biggest film festival in the Czech Republic and the most prestigious one in Central and Eastern Europe. Česká zbrojovka a.s. is proud to be one of the sponsors for this important event.
This year, Cz has decided to express its support of filmmaking by becoming one of the sponsors of the 53rd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Every year, this prestigious festival regularly welcomes a number of notable filmmakers from around the world and screens about 200 movies.

At times, movies and top quality weapons are closely linked, especially where war films or action movies are concerned. Likewise, a significant financial support of the making of an actual movie is also important. CZ has provided financial support, for example, for the movie Lidice, directed by Petr Nikolaev and written by Zdeněk Mahler. Sponsoring this movie was one of the ways how the company commemorated the 75th anniversary of its founding. It is no coincidence that one of its stars, Karel Roden, subsequently became the face of CZ.
